Official Cook-Off Rules

  1. Each team must fully complete and submit an entry form and release form, along with entry fee.
  2. Each team entry is allowed 4 team members with one designated captain.
  3. Set up is between 7am and 8am day of event in a designated 10'x10' cooking space. All teams are required to be on site by 8:00 am.
  4. Mandatory captain meeting is at 8am.
  5. Each team member will be provided a wrist band with entry fee of $100.
  6. Electricity and water will not be provided. You can fill your pots or containers here, but no hoses or extension cords will be running to cook location.
  7. No selling of alcohol by participants/teams. (Drinking and giving it away is fine)
  8. No one under the age of 21 may consume alcohol. Any team caught breaking this rule will be automatically disqualified.
  9. All food must be prepared from scratch. Pre-cooking of rice, however, is allowed.
  10. Cooking must be completed and ready to serve at 12 noon for judging.
  11. Each team must have team name prominently displayed for the public.
  12. The captain of each team is ultimately responsible for the 10'x10' cooking area including: set up, teardown, safety, always keeping area clean, and cooking.
  13. Teams are responsible for disposing of trash in designated area.
  14. Each team must have a mandatory tabletop sign stating the type of dish they are serving.
  15. Contains SEAFOOD must be displayed on any table where food being served containing seafood and/or seafood stock.
  16. Only patrons with appropriate wrist band may be allowed to taste appropriate food.
  17. Leftovers are the responsibility of the team.
  18. Ingredients may be pre-cut and brought to the event.
  19. Judged Items - turn in enough in box to feed 10 judges
  20. Each team is required to prepare enough food for public tasting.
  21. No vehicles will be allowed in the event area after 8:30am until after the public has cleared the area.
  22. Teams must provide an ice chest for bottled water; we will provide the bottled water to each team to hand out with food.
